Blue Dun. The blue dun has apparently been around in some form or other since Izaac Walton's time - i.e the mid sixteen hundreds! Use this pattern when small duns are hatching - the wet fly works best at the beginning of the hatch when the fish may well be taking the nymph. Use the dry version when you can see the fish taking adults from the surface
